Adisham Bungalow Haputale
Adisham Bungalow or the Saint Benedict Monastery is situated in Haputale. 190 kms away from Colombo you can travel there via bus for about 5-6$ and via train for 10 $. Once you arrive at Haputale it’s a 4km ride from the town. Adisham was built by an English Tea Planter and the grandson of former British Prime Minister Lord John Russell, Sir Thomas Villiers.
Adisham Bungalow is designed according to the Jacobean and Tudor Architecture styles. The Bungalow was converted as a monastery later on by the Roman Catholic Church of Ceylon. Adisham is currently one of the main tourist attractions of Hill country. Additionally it sells its own franchise of food products which doesn’t contain any artificial flavors.
